Voltas Share Price: Share price of Voltas falls as Sensex drops 56.03 points

Share price of Voltas Ltd. dropped 4.33 per cent to Rs 1046.65 at 02:10PM (IST) in Thursday’s trade. The scrip hit a high of Rs 1092.35 and low of Rs 1040.1 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 1094.05 in the previous session.

The counter had a total traded volume of 02:10PM shares so far with a turnover of Rs 8.87 crore on BSE. The stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 124.35 and a price-to-book ratio of 4.96.

A higher P/E ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

Voltas Ltd. belongs to the Air Conditioners industry.

Promoters held 30.3 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Dec-2023, while overseas investors and domestic institutional investors ownership stood at 17.18 per cent and 36.9 per cent, respectively.
Key Financials
The firm reported consolidated sales of Rs 2683.61 crore for the quarter ended 31-Dec-2023, up 13.53 per cent from the previous quarter’s Rs 2363.73 crore and up 31.79 per cent from the year-ago quarter’s Rs 2036.27 crore.

Its loss for the latest quarter stood at Rs 30.41 crore, down 72.45 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
