Tata Power Share Price: Tata Power shares up 0.19% as Sensex rises

Shares of Tata Power Company Ltd. gained 0.19 per cent to Rs 430.25 in Wednesday’s session as of 12:58PM (IST) even as the equity benchmark Sensex traded 285.21 points higher at 74023.66.

Earlier in the day, the stock witnessed a gap up start to the session. The stock quoted a 52-week high price of Rs 444.1 and a 52-week low of Rs 194.85 on NSE. Around 200738 shares changed hands on the counter till 12:58PM (IST).

The stock opened at Rs 431.55 and has touched an intraday high and low of Rs 432.7 and Rs 429.5 during the session so far. The counter quoted a price-to-earnings (PE) ratio of 38.42, earnings per share (EPS) of Rs 11.2 and price to book value (PB) of 2.11, while the return on equity (ROE) stood at Rs 11.58.

Promoter/ FII Holding
The promoters held 46.86 per cent stake in the company as of April 24, while FII and MF ownerships stood at 9.44 per cent and 5.59 per cent, respectively.

With a market capitalisation of Rs 137495.46 crore, the company operates in the Power – Integrated industry. For the quarter ended 31-Dec-2023, the company reported consolidated sales of Rs 15294.13 crore, down 4.59 per cent from the previous quarter?s Rs 16029.54 crore and down 6.19 per cent from the same quarter a year ago. The company reported net profit of Rs 953.01 crore for the latest quarter, up 0.85 per cent from the corresponding quarter last year.
