Stock Market Sectors: Stock market update: Mining stocks mixed as market falls

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading mixed on Wednesday at 10:34AM

Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores Ltd.(up 3.44%), NMDC Ltd.(up 1.81%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.07%), Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd.(up 1.06%), Aro Granite Industries Ltd.(up 0.98%), The Orissa Minerals Development Company Ltd.(up 0.52%) and Pokarna Ltd.(up 0.19%) were among the top gainers.

MOIL Ltd.(down 2.03%), Madhav Marbles & Granites Ltd.(down 1.98%), Oriental Trimex Ltd.(down 1.78%), Lexus Granito(India)Ltd.(down 1.45%), 20 Microns Ltd.(down 1.26%), Ashapura Minechem Ltd.(down 0.48%) and KIOCL Ltd.(down 0.33%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 108.6 points down at 22193.9, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 418.44 points at 73093.41 at around 10:34AM.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.73%), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.28%), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.92%), NTPC Ltd.(up 0.82%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 0.79%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.68%), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.66%), State Bank of India(up 0.58%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 0.47%) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.46%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(down 3.35%), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.33%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 2.04%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.34%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.34%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.31%), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.29%), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.18%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.93%) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.84%) were trading in the red.
