Krishna Mukherjee Accused of Defamation By Producer Kundan Singh Days After Her ‘Locked In Room’ Claim by StuffsEarth

The war of words between television actress Krishna Mukherjee and Shubh Shagun producer Kundan Singh has been going on for a long time now. It all started after Krishna accused Kundan of harassment and claimed that he had locked her in a makeup room once. While Kundan dismissed all allegations, he has now accused Mukherjee of defamation.

Kundan Singh Accuses Krishna Mukherjee of Defamation

The producer was recently speaking to Indian Express when claimed that Krishna is lying to everyone and said, “I have been defamed. The variations in her allegations point out who is lying and who is speaking the truth. First, she claimed on Instagram that Kundan Singh locked her. If I lock someone, will that person not try to break the door first? The most common thing to do is call the police. Her friends are claiming that Krishna called them. If Krishna had called the police, those guys would have been immediately arrested. Her friend claimed in a video that she was locked, but because it was at Madh Island, he could not go. If your female friend is stuck in a situation like this, wouldn’t you go? The friend could have informed the police.”

Kundan slammed Krishna for saying that he has been threatening her and claimed that she is making such allegations only to be in the limelight. “She even accused me of threatening her. How would I do that? Either through messages or calls or in person, so she should have at least one proof of my threats to her. It is pure defamation from her end to come into the limelight. She was on vacation. Once the holidays were over, she came back thinking about how to get work in the industry and get highlighted. So insulting someone else is the best way,” he added.

Kundan also argued that everyone on sets is treated with “great respect” and claimed since Krishna “wants to prove herself as truthful, she is making up ten other lies.”

What Did Krishna Mukherjee’s Allege?

Last month, Krishna Mukherjee, who rose to fame with her role in ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbatein’, opened up about battling depression and blamed the makers of ‘Shubh Shagun’ for her anxiety. She admitted that she was going through “tough times” and accused the producer of the show of harassment. The 31-year-old actress further claimed that the makers of the show locked her in a makeup room once when she was unwell and unwilling to shoot. She also accused them of not clearing her dues and alleged that a “big amount” has not been paid by the production house to her yet.
