Indian Overseas Bank Q4 Results: Net profit zooms 24% YoY to Rs 808 crore

Chennai-based Indian Overseas Bank reported a 24% increase in net profit for the quarter ended March 2024 on higher interest income. Net profit for the quarter was Rs 808 crore as against Rs 650 crore for the quarter ended 31st March 2023.

The bank’s interest income for the quarter rose 27 percent to Rs.6,629 crore from Rs 5,192 crore. The Net interest margin of the bank strengthened to 3.28% compared to 2.93% as on March 31, 2023.

Gross Advances increased 15.9 percent to Rs.2,19,018 Crores as on 31st March 2024 as against Rs.1,89,009 Crores as on 31st March 2023. While total deposits increased 9.6 percent to Rs.2,85,905 Crores as on 31st March 2024 as against Rs.2,60,883 Crores as on 31st March 2023.

Gross NPA ratio of 3.10% as of March 31, was lower than 7.44% as on March 31 2023.
