Vodafone Idea (Vi) will aim to ramp up capital expenditure on its network to remain competitive against bigger rivals Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, said Fitch Ratings on Friday, adding that the capacity of India’s third-largest telecom operator to invest would depend on its ability to raise additional capital. “Vodafone Idea will aim to ramp-up capex into its network to remain competitive, but its capacity to invest will be contingent on its ability to raise additional capital,” the New York-headquartered ratings agency said in a note on telecom sector outlook for Asia Pacific (APAC) in 2025.
