Stuffsearth.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The best performers of the session on the were Global Lighting Technologies Inc (TW:), which rose 10.00% or 6.00 points to trade at 66.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Evermore Chemical Industry Co Ltd (TW:) added 9.89% or 2.15 points to end at 23.90 and Patec Precision Industry Co Ltd (TW:) was up 9.31% or 9.50 points to 111.50 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Arima Communications Corp (TW:), which fell 9.95% or 0.21 points to trade at 1.90 at the close. Lead Data Inc (TW:) declined 9.85% or 0.39 points to end at 3.57 and Silergy Corp (TW:) was down 7.85% or 37.00 points to 434.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Arima Communications Corp (TW:) fell to all time lows; down 9.95% or 0.21 to 1.90. Shares in Evermore Chemical Industry Co Ltd (TW:) rose to all time highs; rising 9.89% or 2.15 to 23.90.

Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.44% or 0.31 to $70.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.37% or 0.27 to hit $73.48 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.90 to trade at $2,523.90 a troy ounce.

USD/TWD was up 0.08% to 32.14, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.18% to 0.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 101.61.
