Stocks plunged news: Sensex rises! But these stocks fell 5% or more in Monday’s session

NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 494.28 points up at 74742.5 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.

On the BSE, The Phosphate Co.(down 16.63 per cent), Dr Habeebullah(down 14.37 per cent), DRA Consultants(down 12.74 per cent), Fraser & Company(down 11.42 per cent) and Nutech Global(down 11.15 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.

In the Nifty pack, 37 stocks closed in the green, while 13 stocks ended in the red.

The index closed 152.6 points up at 22666.3.

On the BSE, Yarn Syndicate(PP), Gopal Snacks, Dabur India, Bata India and Yarn Syndicate hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Archidply Ind, Jyoti Ltd, Abans Holdings, Ind Swift Ltd and Exide Inds. touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
