NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Tuesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 52.63 points down at 73953.31 amid brisk selling in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, IFGL Refractories(down 13.82 per cent), Parag Milk Foods(down 13.56 per cent), Ganesh Films India(down 13.00 per cent), Intense Tech(down 11.43 per cent) and AXISCADES Engineeri(down 11.34 per cent) stood among the top losers in today’s trade.
In the Nifty pack, 26 stocks closed in the green, while 24 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 27.05 points up at 22529.05.
On the BSE, Revathi Equip, Mefcom Capital, Spectrum Foods(PP), Starcom Info and Mayukh Dealtrade hit their fresh 52-week lows, while GRP Ltd, Wall Street Fin, Bharat Bijlee, Hindustan Zinc and Sundaram Brake touched their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade.
