The NSE Nifty50 index ended 30.96 points down at 23259.2, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed down 203.28 points at 76490.08.

On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.71%), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.21%), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.92%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.75%), LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.49%), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.43%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.91%), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.9%), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 0.77%) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.73%) closed in the red.
