Madhya Bharat Agro Products Ltd.(down 0.77%), Sikko Industries Ltd.(down 0.26%) and Krishana Phoschem Ltd.(down 0.16%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 216.95 points at 24131.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 759.05 points at 79802.79.
Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 4.28%), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.76%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 2.69%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.33%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.93%), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.88%), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 1.86%), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 1.79%), Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.69%) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.61%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.28%), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.8%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 0.46%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.18%), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.08%) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.07%) closed in the red.
