Stephen A. Smith vs. Donald J. Trump? I’m not sure the internet could handle it, but now the thought is out there.

Before appearing on ESPN’s First Take on Wednesday, Stephen A. sat down with Howard Stern to chop it up about various topics. And since the New Hampshire primaries were on Tuesday night, there was some brief political talk.

That’s when Stephen A. told the world he wants to debate former President Trump.

According to the outspoken host, he would “eat [Trump] alive” if the two ever had a presidential debate. Stephen A. doesn’t want to run for office, but he wants to be face-to-face with Trump and have a verbal sparring session.

“Obviously, I have my show First Take on ESPN every weekday morning. It’s a debate show,” Smith told Stern. “I would love to be in a presidential debate. I’d eat him alive. I wouldn’t run for the presidency, but I’d debate Trump any day of the week. Any day of the week! Name the time and place and I’ll show up!”

And Stephen A. made it clear that he would not let any of Trump’s cute little nicknames slide.

“Do you know what I would do if I was on the stage with Trump and Trump tried to talk about the way that I look? Do you know how much material I would have? Look at him.,” Smith said. “Are you kidding me? I marvel at how people have limited comebacks for him. Jeb Bush, ‘low energy,’ no comeback. Marco Rubio, ‘little Marco,’ no comeback.”

Now, will a debate ever happen? Absolutely not.

Would people tune in? Something tells me the internet would be there for the memes.
