Michael Mosley missing: Chilling new photos show last place where TV doctor was seen | World | News by StuffsEarth

Chilling new photos show the last place Michael Mosley was seen before disappearing.

The TV doctor, broadcaster and columnist disappeared on Wednesday (June 5) while on holiday with his wife on the Greek island of Symi, near Rhodes.

He had set off on a walk to the centre of the island before lunch and did not return. Greek authorities have been searching for him since.

The operation across Symi consists of sniffer dogs, helicopters and drones all hunting for the doctor.

CCTV images appear to capture the broadcaster in Pedi’s main street holding an umbrella about 20 minutes after leaving the beach.

The BBC has seen a second piece of CCTV footage from nearby premises showing a man wearing the same clothes and carrying the same umbrella which was time-stamped at 1.50pm.

Separate CCTV, from a house at the edge of Pedi’s marina at the far end of the village, shows Dr Mosley later entering a mountain path at about 2pm local time, PA said.

A member of the rescue team described the search as a “race against time” and said he could be “anywhere”. “The path is not easy to follow, if he took a wrong turn, he would be lost,” she told PA.

His three adult sons and one daughter have flown to the island to join the search, Dr Mosley’s brother Arthur told The Telegraph on Friday. He said: “We are very shocked and perplexed by what has happened to him.”

The Greek police spokesperson Constantina Dimoglidou told the Daily Mail: “He may have slipped, tripped, fallen, even been bitten by a snake, remaining injured somewhere.” He added: “Every potential scenario is open and being investigated.”

A Foreign Office spokesperson said: “We are supporting the family of a British man who is missing in Greece and are in contact with the local authorities.”
