Shares of Granules India Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.5 per cent), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.11 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.96 per cent) and J B Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd.(up 0.78 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack.
On the other hand, Cipla Ltd.(down 1.13 per cent), Laurus Labs Ltd.(down 1.03 per cent), Abbott India Ltd.(down 0.57 per cent), Sanofi India Ltd.(down 0.41 per cent) and Ipca Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.
The Nifty Pharma index closed 0.52 per cent up at 21902.85.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended down 293.21 points at 24717.7, while the BSE Sensex stood down 885.6 points at 80981.95. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 9 ended in the green, while 41 closed in the red. Shares of Vodafone Idea, Zomato, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy and Reliance Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Neuland Labs, Wealth First Portfolio Managers, SJS Enterprises, Platinum Industries and Zomato hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while SecUR Credentials, Ravindra Energy, Tips Films, Landmark Cars and Jet Airways hit their fresh 52-week lows.
