Axis Bank Ltd.(up 0.66 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.55 per cent), IDFC First Bank Ltd.(up 0.38 per cent) and ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.35 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Bandhan Bank Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 2.45 per cent), Au Small Finance Bank Ltd.(down 0.14 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.02 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty Bank index was down 0.48 per cent at 50334.75 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 28.66 points at 24318.35, while the BSE Sensex was down 104.74 points at 79544.18. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red. Shares of Ola Electric Mobilit, Vodafone Idea, Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and Inox Wind Ltd. were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of The Western India, Dynacons Sys, Salzer Electro, Inox Wind Energy and Stove Kraft hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Coffee Day Ent, SecUR Credentials, Nandani Creation, Rishabh Instruments and Blue Chip India hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
