In the largecap segment, 15 companies witnessed significant block deals on the screen, which were worth Rs 5,671 crore led by Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) with 10 block counts, totalling to Rs 1,380 crore. The next in line were HDFC Bank (Rs 663 crore), IndusInd Bank (Rs 632 crore), Kotak Mahindra Bank (572 crore), GAIL India (Rs 312 crore), Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M, Rs 283 crore), Sun Pharmaceuticals (Rs 281 crore) and Hindustan Aeronautics (HAL, Rs 196 crore).
Others were InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), Hindalco Industries, HCL Technologies, Apollo Hospitals, Pidilite Industries, Bharat Electronics (BEL) and Shree Cement with block deals between Rs 217 crore and Rs 95 crore.
The data has been compiled by brokerage firm Nuvama and pertains to deals done this week between 8:45 am and 3:30 pm.

In the midcap segment, a dozen companies witnessed prominent block deals on the screen, which were worth Rs 5,357 crore. The leader in the pack was Star Health Insurance with deal size standing at Rs 2,211 crore followed by Apollo Tyres (Rs 1,125 crore), Info Edge (India) (Rs 432 crore) and CG Power & Industries (Rs 419 crore). The others were Honeywell Automation, Vodafone Idea, Zydus Lifesciences, Coforge, Macrotech Developers, Indian Railway FInance Corporation (IRFC), Persistent Systems and Polycab India, which saw deals between Rs 278 crore and 75 crore.

As for the smallcap stocks, block deals worth Rs 2,031 crore were struck in 12 companies. The number one spot went to Aptus Value Housing (Rs 1,063 crore) followed by Granules India (Rs 236 crore) and IRB Infrastructure Developers (Rs 143 crore). The others were Garden Reach Shipbuilders, Global Health (Medanta), JB Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, Aarti Pharma, Apar Industries, Maharashtra Seamless, Blue Dart Express, Dr Lal Pathlabs and Narayana Hrudayalaya, which saw deals between Rs 130 crore and 39 crore.

Nuvama also reported prominent bulk, block and insider deals in 6 stocks with details on buyers and sellers. Among them were Apollo Tyres with nine buyers and a lone seller. While White Iris Investment sold shares worth Rs 1,073 crore, the top buyers included ICICI Pru MF (Rs 200 crore), Morgan Stanley Sgx Pte (Rs 192 crore) and Societe Generale (Rs 134 crore).
For Star Health & Allied Insurance, there were four sellers and eight buyers. Roc Star Invest Trust and Milo Star were among the sellers while buyers included Morgan Stanley Sgx Pte, Plutus Wealth Manage and HDFC MF.
The other stocks which saw prominent bulk, block and insider deals include Aptus Value Housing Finance, Granules India, Coforge and Protean Egov.
