Satya Easwaran appoints as Country Head of India by Wipro

Satya Easwaran, a former senior executive at consultancy KPMG, has been appointed as Wipro Limited's India head. 

Easwaran will be in charge of growing Wipro's operations in India across key industrial sectors via strategic consulting, transformation, and modernization engagements, the company said on Monday. 

He will help clients leverage Wipro's cloud, digital, engineering R&D, data, analytics, and cybersecurity skills and investments for their business and digital transformation initiatives. 



Mr Satya Easwaran's track record: 

Prior to joining Wipro, he was the head of business consultancy and the telecom, media, and technology sector leader at KPMG India. Mr Easwaran served multiple senior roles in management consulting with a focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), cloud, digital, strategy, and transformation while at KPMG in India and the United States, as well as Accenture India, according to the statement. 

He has an engineering degree in Electronics from Mumbai University as well as an MBA in Finance and International Business from Santa Clara University's Leavey School of Business.

As of April 18, 2022, Wipro's share price fell 3.68 percent from its previous closing price of Rs 558.7. The share price of Wipro closed at Rs 538.60.
